Five Percent (5%) of every entry fee received across all our auctions on our website will be equally donated between our two supported charities, Cancer Research UK and World Vision.
So, by bidding on products in any of our sealed bid online auctions, not only are you putting yourself in line to win yourself a new, technologically advanced and high demand product but you will also be supporting two worthy charities.
A brief outline on our two supported charities:
Cancer Research UK
They are the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research.
They’ve saved millions of lives with their groundbreaking work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. People’s chances of surviving cancer have doubled in the last 40 years, and they’ve been at the heart of that progress.
One in three of us will still get cancer at some point. Their vital work, funded entirely by the public, will help ensure that millions more people survive.
They work in the areas where they can make the most impact:
Research – they support the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses across the UK to investigate all aspects of cancer.
Information – they work to prevent cancer and help people cope with its effects by providing information for cancer patients and their families, health professionals and the general public.
Influencing public policy – they campaign to keep cancer at the top of the health agenda.
World Vision
World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice.
Motivated by our faith in Jesus Christ, World Vision serves alongside the poor and oppressed as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people. World Vision serves all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender.
Financial support is received from; the UK Government, the European Union, charitable trusts, corporate supporters and also more than 100,000 individuals, who sponsor children in poor communities overseas. Lives are also transformed through the Alternative Gift Catalogue and events such as the 24 Hour famine.
World Vision works to change the root causes of poverty through campaigning, church partnerships, education and influencing policy makers.
In whatever they do, they place a special emphasis on ensuring the needs and rights of children are met, because they are often the hardest hit by conflict, disaster and chronic poverty.
